The Rauch Group is structured into a number of company sections under the general management of Michael Stiehl. The headquarters of the company are located in Freudenberg in the German state of Baden-Württemberg, where the DIALOG and PACK´S brands are manufactured. In Mastershausen, Rauch Möbelwerke manufacture all free-standing cabinets for the STEFFEN brand – both in either semi-solid furniture or with décor finish. The SELECT brand with its wide product range has its production site in Bürgstadt.
Markt Bibart is the location of the company’s own chipboard plant – all Rauch products are manufactured from high-quality wood materials. Rauch's chipboard plant only uses fresh wood from native forests and has been awarded the PEFC certificate for sustainable forestry.

For more than 115 years, the name Rauch has stood for high-quality furniture made in Germany.
We use only high-quality materials containing no harmful substances, which we combine with good workmanship, modern design, functionality and durability – and all at affordable prices. Acknowledging our responsibility for the environment and society is central to our values.
Our aim is to produce sustainable furniture. The wood we use comes, without exception, from regional, sustainably managed forests, for example, and our entire production process is CO2 neutral. This is one of the reasons why Rauch was among the winners of the "German Sustainability Award" in 2014.

A key element of our corporate philosophy is to treat the issue of environmental protection as an integral whole. We place particular importance on making sure forestry resources and timber – a precious raw material for us – are used sustainably and responsibly along the entire processing chain. This is why we have certified the companies that make up Rauch Group in accordance with strict PEFC and FSC® standards - the world's largest forest certification schemes.
To produce Woodmax, Rauch's in-house chipboard factory works exclusively with pollutant-free small-diameter logs and windfall timber from domestic, sustainably managed forestry operations. The two PEFC and FSC® seals guarantee that the timber we use stems from forests that are managed in harmony with nature, and not from dubious or overexploited sources: Stringent management requirements governing ecological, social and economic criteria in equal measure apply for the certified forests, which means that no more timber is harvested than grows back, reforestation programmes are in place, biodiversity is preserved, and the origins of the timber are definitely legal. Certification of the product chain ("chain of custody") also confirms that the flow of materials can be tracked and traced without any gaps throughout the entire production process.
All of this is regularly tested by impartial experts, along with the completely sustainable production chain of the company bearing this seal.
PEFC is the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes. This certification programme comprises a transparent and impartial system that was introduced back in 1999 to ensure sustainable forest management. www.pefc.org
FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) is an impartial NGO that was founded in 1993 and is committed to promoting the environmentally, socially and economically compatible use of forests around the world. www.fsc-deutschland.de
